Commencing September 2024 until July 2025
The Language Assistant’s role is primarily to support the Spanish department and their work with pupils. This includes helping develop pupils’ skills in general conversation, working on accurate pronunciation, fluency and idiom. The Language Assistant will also help deliver sessions on target language culture, and aid with reinforcement of topics seen in class.
The Language Assistant must be a native Spanish speaker. Experience of teaching a language with either young people or adults is desirable.
Salary: Competitive and in line with British Council
The role is term-time only (34 weeks), and is part-time: 18 hours per week.
The candidate must have the right to work in the UK i.e., EU Settled Status.
The closing date for all applications is 9am Friday 10 May 2024. Interviews including an observed lesson with pupils will take place on Friday 17 May 2024.
